This upcoming service will be longer than normal\, from 9:30am-11:30am\, to accommodate the physical activities \n\nExploring the importance of stillness and subtle movements: a discussion and guided practice of Qigong\n\n\n\nWe invite you to a heartfelt and uplifting Sunday Service\, where we come together to explore texts and shared experiences that align with our doctrine. Through reflection and discussion\, we’ll uncover how these principles can guide us toward our highest selves\, deepen our connection with one another\, and embrace the oneness of the world. All are welcome to be part of this sacred space of growth\, understanding\, and unity. \nOur Sunday Service this month will cover a discussion and a physical practice. \nThis Sunday Service will kick start your week with peaceful\, sustained energy. Special guest Robison Godlove will provide a guided Qigong session. Then following the session\, Nancy Do and Robison will lead a discussion on the importance of stillness\, subtle movement and breath in combination with sacrament. Very special sacrament will be provided during service. It will be optional to take sacrament. \nQigong means energy cultivation and uses slow\, deep and gentle movements to optimize energy within the spirit\, body and mind. By harnessing ancient Eastern practices from China such as Qigong\, these movements provide deep lessons in how to be more thoughtful about our seemly simple everyday movements. \nIn a world that is moving faster than ever with the use of technology\, the art of slowing down and developing a skill over time through committed practice makes us whole again. Let’s cultivate this practice in community. He has worked with cannabis as a researcher\, educator\, breeder\, and business executive\, and is trained as a 7th Generation Royal Style Trina practitioner at the American College of Chinese Medicine in SF. Robison has worked clinically with cannabis\, and Tuina since 2013. He studies and teaches in the Taijiquan lineage of Zheng Manqing and is the co-author along with Ken Rose of the upcoming book\, “Just Touch – Cultivating a Dao of Cannabis and Taiji Tuina. \nRobison‘s discussion on ever evolving scriptures will highlight ancient Chinese scriptures regarding the spiritual use of cannabis through the perspective of modern cannabinoid science. He will highlight how this understanding can be incorporated into daily practices for the healing and growth of inclusive communities guided by compassion for ourselves and others. While they courageously defended themself\, the attack left them with injuries that make it impossible to work during their healing. \nAs they rest and recover\, medical bills and living expenses are piling up.Jelly has been a beacon of compassion\, showing up for so many of us with open arms and a soft heart. \nNow\, it’s our time to show up for them. \nWhat to Expect: \n\nCommunity karaoke all night long\nDonation-based entry (suggested $10–$20)\n\nWhere the Money Goes: \nAll proceeds from this event will go directly to Jelly’s Mutual Aid Fund to help cover urgent medical expenses and living support.
